  • Business Secretary Sajid Javid Not Looking at Beecroft Again

No Return to Beecroft’s

No Fault Dismissals

Speaking on the Andrew Marr show today, Sajid Javid said he won’t be Sajid Javid looking at “no fault dismissals” for small business .

The Beecroft proposals – a report commissioned by the Prime Minister, written by Adrian Beecroft early during the previous coalition government’s term – included a proposal for “Compensated No Fault Dismissal.”

With a Conservative majority government now in office, it can be expected that there will be some changes to employment laws, including those on the necessary turnout for industrial action. Other changes might be hinted at in the Queen’s Speech on Wednesday, 27th May 2015, although the detail won’t become clear until draft legislation is tabled. Client’s of Employment Law Clinic at least know that their employment law compliant contracts from Employment Law Clinic come with a Five Year guarantee for legally-required amendments.

Despite the previous Vince Cable admits Tribunal Fees a mistake, changes to fees for employment tribunals are not likely though – unless the continued judicial review challenges against these are successful.
