Employment Law in the Spotlight for Government’s Red Tape Challenge
For the next three weeks, the Government’s Red Tape Challenge will focus on employment related laws.
The aim of the campaign is to identify regulations that can be improved, simplified, or even abolished, but done without watering down employee rights.
The consultation is being supported by a discussion paper ‘Flexible, effective, fair: Promoting economic growth through a strong and efficient labour market’ [note: the paper was not available at the time of posting, but should appear online later today], and the results of the discussion will be published later this year.
Update: the discussion paper, referred to in BIS’s press release this morning, is still not available, but at least the Cabinet Office’s website is now inviting comments on employment related law.
